Problem:
Farmers face significant challenges in managing their cattle feed supply efficiently. Tracking details like the source, quantity, and price of purchased feed is often a manual, time-consuming process. Additionally, without proper tools, farmers struggle to manage their feed inventory, leading to issues like overstocking or running out of feed. Furthermore, connecting with reliable suppliers for reordering is cumbersome, making it difficult to ensure consistent cattle nutrition and business operations.
Solution:
Feedwise provides a streamlined digital platform for farmers to log, track, and manage their cattle feed purchases. The app offers an easy-to-use feed log form where farmers can record details of feed purchases, categorized by cattle type. It also features inventory management tools that alert farmers when feed levels are low, enabling them to reorder from suppliers directly within the app. By simplifying inventory tracking and connecting farmers to suppliers, Feedwise optimizes the feed management process, saving time and reducing operational inefficiencies.
My Role:
As the UX/UI designer, I was responsible for crafting the persona and developing the user story to understand the target audience’s needs and behaviors. I then worked through creating wireframes and mockups, ensuring that the design effectively addressed user pain points. I also collaborated with stakeholders to conduct usability testing, iterating on feedback to refine the interface and improve the user experience. My focus was on designing the notification and account settings pages, from initial user flow planning to final mockups, ensuring the process was smooth and intuitive.
